Mother’s Day Contest
My sister, Lauren Myracle, YA author extraordinaire, has a fantastic new book coming out titled Peace, Love and Baby Ducks. To celebrate its May 14th release she is running a ducky contest on her website. Check it out at http://laurenmyracle.com/blog.html.
Lauren is having so much fun with her contest that I decided to run one, too…and so, (drum roll, please) to honor the mothers and daughters who live within the pages of Bound South, and to honor real-live mothers everywhere (or the memories of those mothers,) I am running a mother of a mother’s day contest, the RUTH’S RIGHTEOUS BROWNIES GIVEAWAY!!
And who, might you ask, is Ruth? And why are her brownies so righteous?
Norma Ruth Campbell White is none other than my mama, the sweetest lady you will ever meet, who also happens to bake the world’s best brownies. Ruth is not, I repeat, is NOT Louise Parker from Bound South, but they do share the same brownie recipe.
The brownies are righteous because they are the real thing—made from scratch, layered with flavor. No mixes, no Splenda, no margarine. As one friend put it, “they taste of butter, chocolate and sugar.” And amen to that. Hurrah to real food.
If you win the contest, I will ship a batch of brownies direct to you—baked by Ruth! I’ll even overnight them so that they will arrive at your house all fresh and chocolate-y. And I’m timing the contest so that the brownies will arrive just before Mother’s day, May 10. (Quick: have you made a brunch reservation yet?)
Go to my blog: http://www.susanrebeccawhite.com/blog.html for all of the details, and to enter.
May the (chocolate) Force be with you!
