Q. What’s your fantasy profession? A. Park ranger. Q. Is there a book you love to reread? A. I generally love rereading books, as it means I can jump straight to my favourite passages. The ones I've reread most often are probably The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing, The Quiet American and The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene, Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, as well as my big book of German poetry and another big book of Grimm fairytales. Q. What is your birthdate? A. 9/11 Q. Where did you go to high school and/or college? A. Marburg, Edinburgh and Singapore (it's vaguely exciting to think that these three places have probably never shared a reply box before.) Learn more about Sophie Hardach
