A. Write every day and trust your own ideas!

A. That they can really identify with the characters in my books, that they feel like they are inside the character's head and heart.

A. The Brontes, Salman Rushdie, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Flannery O'Connor, Truman Capote, Carson McCullers, Shakespeare, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Joan Didion, Mary Karr.

A. Wuthering Heights, To Kill A Mockingbird, Shalimar The Clown, House of the Spirits, Cherry. And Pablo Neruda: The Complete Verses.
