Writing a mystery series has been a huge learning experience, the curve greater than I'd ever anticipated. As a middle-aged friend of mine says, "We have to do these things while we're still young." Grappling with being a writer of fiction for the first time has made me aware of how much we all have to learn every day and I'm loving every minute of it.
One of the thrills of the job is seeing the several possible cover designs for your next work, giving your feedback about which option you prefer, and then seeing it printed. I chose a blue cover, reflecting the ocean that Shad sees daily. I hope my readers enjoy it!
