Q. What is your motto or maxim? A. "Experience is one thing you can't get for nothing." Oscar Wilde (who else?) Q. With whom in history do you most identify? A. Sylvia Beach, maybe? An American expatriate book lover. Q. What is your biggest pet peeve? A. Damp towels on the bed? Q. What trait is most noticeable about you? A. Here in Spain, it is undoubtedly my foreignness, my American accent, my green eyes. And in the States? I imagine I blend in pretty well. Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be? A.
